Chief Financial Officer (She/Her/Hers)
Ms. Hegarty, WMPC’s Chief Financial Officer, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than ten years of financial leadership experience. Ms. Hegarty expertise includes working with start-up organizations to establish financial controls, reduce expenses, and increase revenues.
Prior to working at WMPC, Ms. Hegarty was Vice President of Finance at Chloe & Isabel, a direct sales jewelry company, where she reduced their expenses by 38 percent in her first year. Ms. Hegarty also ran a successful financial consulting business serving start-up organizations in the nonprofit sector and in the technology industry. She began her career serving as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Chicago where she developed an understanding of GAAP, audit, and other regulatory standards related to public and private agencies, including those with a 501 (c)3 status.
By joining WMPC, Ms. Hegarty is aligning her personal values of community service with her professional goals. She serves as the Board Treasurer and Finance Committee Chairperson for Treetops Collective and as a member of the RendeZoo Committee and the Auction Subcommittee at the John Ball Zoo.
Ms. Hegarty has a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Accounting from Michigan State University.
