Kristina Donaldson, Parent Planner, has 7 years of experience serving as a mentor and coach to parents in Kent County and throughout the state of Michigan. She has served in a variety of capacities before joining WMPC to include as a Parent Ambassador Trainer through the Children’s Trust Fund, as a State Government Trainer in Parent Leadership through the Michigan Public Health Institute, and as a Governor-appointed representative to the Michigan Inter-Agency Coordinating Council. She is an active community volunteer, serving in leadership roles to include as a Commissioner of First Steps Kent and the K-Connect Co-chair of the Pre-natal to Third Grade Workgroup.
Donaldson was inspired to work at WMPC by her own lived experience which she draws on as she helps parents navigate the complexity of the child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental health systems. She is passionate about advancing equity and building relationships with children and families.
Donaldson is a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College, a 2015 Urban Core Collective Transformational Leadership alumna, a Certified Trainer in “Our Community Listens”, and has received a Cultural Intelligence Certification from the Cultural Intelligence Center in 2019.
