Sonia Noorman

Chief Operating Officer

Mrs. Noorman leads WMPC’s daily programmatic operations while ensuring close collaboration with our partner agencies. Before joining the WMPC, Mrs. Noorman served as Division Director for Wellspring Lutheran Services’ five foster care programs in Michigan. In that role, she increased Wellspring’s statewide budget for foster care by 20 percent and developed its Grand Rapids foster care program from a staff of five to 39.

For the four years prior to WMPC’s launch, Noorman closely collaborated with key stakeholders that orchestrated WMPC’s inception, assuming a leadership role to develop many of WMPC’s draft policies, procedures, and processes. Mrs. Noorman is well-respected in Kent County and throughout Michigan for her expertise in administering trauma-informed foster care programs and for her commitment to excellence.

Noorman holds an M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, an M.S.W. from the University of Illinois, and a B.A. in psychology from Calvin College and completed the Results-Based Leadership Institute offered by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
