Dr. Keenan King

Member (He/Him/His) Dr. Keenan King is the Executive Director of Kent School Services Network (KSSN). KSSN is a non-profit that currently partners with seven school districts to implement the Community School Strategy at 40+ schools across Kent County, Michigan. Dr. King has over 15 years of experience working with marginalized and underrepresented youth in West Michigan. He has worked for Western Michigan University’s college access programs MI GEAR UP and TRiO Upward Bound; mentored hundreds of K-12  students; and believes in collective impact as a strategy to address racial disparity gaps for marginalized youth. Kathleen Schultz

Member (She/Her/Hers) Kathleen Schultz is the Division Director of Foster Care and the Corporate Compliance Office at Wellspring Lutheran Services. Ms. Schultz has worked in child welfare for over 15 years. In addition to the WMPC board, Ms. Schultz serves on the Board of Directors for Legacy Adoption Services. Ms. Schultz earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology form Oakland University and a Juris Doctor from WMU Cooley Law School.

Doug Booth

Board Member (He/Him/His) Doug Booth is the former Chief Operating Officer for Health Net of West Michigan where he worked to improve the health of our community by bridging the formal healthcare system with the broad network of social services in our area.  Doug has his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master’s in Health Policy from the University of Denver. Doug’s previous research focused on the barriers the LGBTQIA community faces in the pursuit of healthcare. Chair (She/Her/Hers) After graduating from the University of Michigan, Cheryl spent 16 years living in Chicago cultivating a career as a sales and marketing executive in the computer industry. She worked with large international corporations through most of her career ending with an exciting opportunity to be a part of a small start-up in silicon-valley, helping to grow the organization and take it public.
